Entrepreneur, attorney, business owner, and connector Kim Adkins has vast experience in law, government affairs, and public relations.
More than a decade ago, she started her own law practice and co-founded The Capitol Strategy Group, LLC - a prominent government relations firm.
Adkins previously worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority in economic and community relations and as policy director for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
Kim currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Metro Nashville Sports Authority and the Nashville Sports Council. In 2019, she served on the NFL Draft host committee bringing the National Football League draft to Music City. Recently, the Nashville Business Journal named her among Nashville's top 100 most powerful people in business.
In 2016, the Women's Political Collaborative named her as their Nashville Athena Young Professional Nominee and in 2014, Kim was named to the Nashville Business Journal's Top Forty Under Forty. In 2010, Kim was an international delegate for the American Council of Young Political Leaders.
Kim is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where she was a member of the varsity tennis team and received her doctorate of jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law. Adkins is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association.
Kim and her husband Greg, live in Nashville and have one daughter. Together, Kim and Greg are partial owners of Blue Moon Waterfront Grille in Nashville, Marriott Springhill Suites in North Chattanooga, Hilton Homewood Suites Myrtle Beach Coastal Grand Mall, and two Buddy's bar-b-q franchises in East Ridge, and Hixson, Tennessee.
